Aon Celtic Art

Fantastic Celtic art by a fantastic and very genrous artist, Cari Buziak. The lion art on the right-hand side of my navbar comes from her work.

Agarthi's World

Great website detailing Shadow World, the grand campaign world created by I.C.E. for their RoleMaster rules system.

Swords and Daggers

This site has some very beautiful swords and accessories for swords. A worthwhile place to start looking for inspirational pictures for magic items.

Raven Armoury

Another site with great photos for inspiring magic item design. It's also a good place to find some history on weapons.

The Domesday Book

A great webpage that gives an online medieval demographic generator, based on Medieval Demographics Made Easy by S. John Ross.

There Is No Best Sword
"If there were no firearms, they'd still be designing new swords." - Hank Reinhardt

An article that takes an entertaining and fascinating look at the reality of sword technology through the ages from The Historical Armed Combat Association (now called the Association for Renaissance Martial Arts ARMA). This is a good article for any roleplayer because it present the reality of edged weapon combat, rather than the romance of it. Hank seems to have had years of experience and points out flaws in modern ideas about what sword is best (everyone thinks that's the katana) and what really happens when two sword wielders seriously go to kill each other.
